WPT Global Download: Official Client Steps and the Risks of Modified Builds
WPT Global is a free download for Windows 10, macOS 10.14, Android 8.0 and iOS 10, and the room's own download page lists 500 MB of free space and 3 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended) for every platform. The room's FAQ says there is no browser version, so the client is how you play. That also explains why "modified" and "cracked" builds get searched for. The Terms forbid modifying or reverse engineering the software, so a build that someone else altered is a different program from a different author, running while you use your account.
What We Read on 20 October 2026
Sources: the room's "How to Download" page, the FAQ on its home page, and the Terms and Conditions with Annex A, the prohibited activity list. We loaded the pages in a browser, switched through the four platform tabs, and downloaded nothing. We did not log in either: a "Not Available in Your Region" window opened from our location.
We have not run the official installer, so we cannot give you a file hash or a signing publisher to compare against. We have not tested any third-party build and we do not link to one. The Terms carry no revision date, so 20 October 2026 is the only date we can vouch for.
The Official Instructions, Tab by Tab
| Tab | Minimum OS listed | Storage / RAM listed | What the tab actually shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Windows | Windows 10 | 500 MB / 3 GB (4 GB recommended) | Four steps: go to wptglobal.com, click Download, choose Save when the pop-up appears, open the file from the Downloads folder and follow the setup prompts. |
| macOS | macOS 10.14 | 500 MB / 3 GB (4 GB recommended) | Step 1 only: open your browser and go to wptglobal.com. |
| Android | Android 8.0 | 500 MB / 3 GB (4 GB recommended) | Step 1 only, the same browser instruction. The requirements block is headed "Minimum System Requirements on macOS". |
| iOS | iOS 10 | 500 MB / 3 GB, with the RAM line missing its label | Step 1 only: "Open the App Store." The requirements block is again headed "macOS". |
Only the Windows tab is a complete walkthrough. On Android and iOS the subheading is a leftover sentence about depositing on desktop, and the page carries no App Store, Google Play or installer links at all. The Download button lives on the home page. The schema markup on the page describes the app as free on iOS, Android and desktop, and the page text calls the install "completely free."
The listed minimums look dated for a 2026 app (iOS 10 shipped in 2016), and we cannot tell whether the room enforces them. A thin official page leaves room for unofficial "download guides" to rank, and some of them lead to files that never came from the room.
Where the Modified Builds Come From
We see three reasons people seek altered clients. Players in excluded territories look for any way in. Players who want an overlay or auto-play look for a client that "has it built in". And people who simply cannot find a link on the official page search for "wpt global download apk" and click the first result. Only the second group is looking for a bot, but all three end up on the same pages.
The Excluded Territories list in clause 2 runs to dozens of entries, and Annex A item 12 bans any attempt to hide or mask location, "including use of a VPN, proxy or geolocation service." For the second group, a pre-modified client saves the work of building one. It is also the exact thing the software clause covers.
What we can say about the files themselves comes from the pattern already described in our piece on cheats and hacks sold for this room: installers that carry malware, chart packs, and overlay subscriptions. We have no sample of a modified WPT Global client to analyse. Anything claiming otherwise on a forum or a video description is making a claim nobody on that page has checked.
What the Terms Say About Altered Software
| Where | What it says | Why it matters for a modified client |
|---|---|---|
| Clause 17.2.1 | You shall not "use, copy, modify, create derivative works from or distribute" the Services, Software and Documentation. | A changed copy of the client is a derivative work by this wording. |
| Clause 17.2.2 | No decoding, reverse engineering, disassembling or decompiling. | Building a modified client normally starts here. |
| Clause 8.2 | Robots and "external player assistance (EPAs) program[s]" that distort normal play are prohibited. | Covers an assistant whether it is built into a client or runs beside it. |
| Clause 8.3 | Steps may be taken to prevent prohibited programs, "which may include" checks on software "operating concurrently with the poker room software." | The room reserves the right to look at what runs alongside the client. |
| Annex A, items 6, 19 | Third-party add-ons that automate or aid bet sizing or strategy; software used to gain an unfair advantage. | Named outright, with no exception for a "private" build. |
| Annex A, items 22 to 25 | Screen scrapers, automatic note takers, HUDs, automated seating or table monitoring (table organisation and resizing tools are permitted). | The usual features of an overlay are each listed. |
| Annex A, item 9 | Attempting to circumvent the room's policies, rules or automated restrictions. | This covers tampered clients. |
The consequences sit in two other places. Clause 14 lets the room terminate the account, retain all monies in it and void winnings when it determines, or merely believes, that you breached the Terms. Clause 15.5 removes any rakeback, cashback or bonus still due after a termination or suspension. Neither clause asks for proof; the room can decide to ban an account on its own authority.
Checks Before You Run Any Installer
- Type wptglobal.com yourself. A link from a video description, a forum signature or a chat message is a link from a stranger.
- On iOS and Android, the page says to open the store and search there. A file sent to you directly is not what the page describes.
- Treat any guide that tells you to switch off antivirus or dismiss an operating system warning as a description of malware. The official Windows steps contain no such instruction.
- Check the file's properties for its name, size and publisher before you run it. We cannot give you the expected values, so ask the room's support in writing what they should be.
- Use a password you have not used elsewhere. A fake client that captures it is the cheapest outcome for whoever built it.
None of this makes an installer safe in the absolute sense. It narrows the ways a file can reach you without the room's involvement, and that is where the realistic risk sits.
Where This Site Stands
We do not distribute clients and we do not recommend altering one. Study off the table, including reviewing your own hands afterwards, is a different activity from anything that touches the software during play, and our line between the two is on the fair-play page. The room's view of volume play and incentives is covered in the rakeback read, and the operator's documents in our legitimacy review.
Download Questions, Answered From the Pages We Read
Is the WPT Global client free?
Yes. The download page calls the software "completely free to install," and its schema lists a price of 0.00 for iOS, Android and desktop. Deposits and play are separate matters.
Can I play WPT Global in a browser instead?
The home page FAQ says no: the room does not offer play through a browser, and you need the Windows or Mac software or the iOS or Android app.
Why do the Android and iOS tabs say "macOS"?
It looks like a template error on the room's side. On 20 October 2026 both tabs carried the heading "Minimum System Requirements on macOS" above Android 8.0 and iOS 10, and a subheading about depositing on desktop. We read it as an unfinished page, nothing more.
Does a modified client avoid detection?
We have found no source that tests this, and the claim is the kind of marketing the cheats-and-hacks page describes. Clause 17.2.1 bars modification, and clause 8.3 allows checks on what runs alongside the client.
Is this site affiliated with WPT Global?
No. WPTGlobalBot.com is independent and not connected to WPT Global or the World Poker Tour.
