WPT Global pays rakeback as flat percentages of the rake you pay, and it does not run a tiered VIP ladder. On 13 October 2026 its promotions pages listed three rakeback-style offers: 40% of rake for the first player to start a table, 30% on every PLO game, and a welcome offer that returns $1 for every $10 of rake paid. Rakeback is a discount on a cost. It makes a break-even player slightly less negative and does not change who wins over a long run. It is also the reason volume looks attractive to automated play, and the terms contain several clauses that cut against that.

What We Read and What We Did Not

Sources: the WPT Global promotions pages (Poker Rewards Program, PLO Rakeback, Welcome Offer, Passport Dollars), the poker table rake page, the Terms and Conditions, and the Bonus Policy that the Terms make part of the agreement. We read them on 13 October 2026 without logging in, because the login buttons returned "Not Available in Your Region" from our location. Anything that only shows inside a player account, such as a live rakeback balance, is outside this page. The Terms page carries no revision date, so the date above is the only one we can vouch for.

The calculations below are our own arithmetic on the published percentages. Where a number depends on something the room does not publish, we say so.

The Three Offers

OfferWhat the page saysPaid
Table Starter Boost (listed as the Poker Rewards Program)The first player to start a cash game table gets rakeback "for your entire session at that table." Eligible tables are those under the High tab, minimum $25/50/100 NLHE (or the CNY equivalents), 200 CNY for Short Deck. Rate: 40%. Breaks of up to five minutes do not end the session.Weekly, Monday 2 PM CET
PLO Rakeback"EVERY player at EVERY stake of EVERY PLO game, four or five card" gets 30% of their rake back.Every Monday
Welcome OfferA deposit of $10 to $3,000 comes back over 60 days in two halves. Poker half: $1 for every $10 paid in rake and fees. Casino half: $1 for every $500 wagered. As earned, within 60 days

Passport Dollars sits on the same promotions menu but is a travel and entry currency for live WPT festivals, so it is not rakeback and we leave it out of the numbers.

Nothing on these pages describes levels or points. Players coming from rooms with a bronze-to-diamond scheme will not find one here. The rates are fixed, and each applies to a defined slice of play.

What the Rake Is

The rake table lists a 4% cash game rake on almost every NLHE stake, with a cap that depends on whether two to four or five or more players are at the table. The exception is the 50/100/200 CNY tables, which charge 5%. At the highest stakes the cap stops the rake from growing with the pot. Because of the cap, 4% is the most the room can take from a pot, and big pots are raked at less than 4%.

The room does not say, on the rake page, in the Bonus Policy or in the Terms, how rake is split among the players in a pot. The two common methods are "contributed" (you are credited for the share of the pot you put in) and "dealt" (every player dealt in gets an equal share). The Bonus Policy defines rakeback only as "a portion of the rake" returned to the players who generate it. The difference matters, since a player who folds a lot is credited differently under the two methods. We found no statement either way, so any rakeback figure you work out in advance is an estimate.

Our Arithmetic: What the Welcome Offer Asks For

The poker half of the welcome offer returns $1 per $10 of rake, which is 10% of the rake you pay. That half is 50% of your deposit, so collecting all of it takes rake equal to five times the deposit. The table converts that into pot volume at the 4% headline rate. Since the cap makes the real average lower, these are minimum volumes.

DepositPoker half returnedRake to earn itPot volume at 4% (at least)Rake before a withdrawal (clause 6.3.2, 10%)
$100$50$500$12,500$10
$1,000$500$5,000$125,000$100
$3,000$1,500$15,000$375,000$300

The 60-day window turns the welcome offer into a volume target, and a casual player on a $1,000 deposit will not reach $5,000 of rake in two months. The room's headline of a 100% cashback is the ceiling, and it is reached only by the poker volume above plus $1 per $500 wagered in the casino.

Clause 6.3.2 is a separate hurdle. It requires rake or gross gaming revenue of at least 10% of your deposited amount before a withdrawal can be processed. Rakeback does not replace it, though rake paid counts toward it. We covered that clause in our read of the operator documents.

Our Arithmetic: What 30% and 40% Are Worth

Rakeback pays on rake and ignores results. Suppose a player pays $10 of rake per 100 hands and, before rake, wins $5 per 100 hands. These figures are invented to show the mechanics, not measured on any account.

Result before rake, per 100 handsNo rakeback30% (PLO)40% (Table Starter)
Wins $5-$5.00-$2.00-$1.00
Wins $7-$3.00$0.00+$1.00
Wins $10$0.00+$3.00+$4.00
Wins $12+$2.00+$5.00+$6.00

The break-even point moves from "win as much as the rake" to "win 70% of the rake" at 30%, and 60% at 40%. A player who is behind the field by more than that stays behind. Rakeback also grows with volume in both directions, so at a negative pre-rake result, more hands still means more losses, only slightly slower ones. The 40% offer is the best percentage on the menu, but it covers only sessions where you started the table, and those must sit in the High tab at $25/50/100 or higher. For most players its practical value is much smaller than the percentage suggests.

Why Rakeback Is Tied to Bots

An automated player has a low per-hand edge and enormous volume. For that profile rakeback is a large part of the return, since it scales with hands played and does not depend on winning them. This is why rakeback comes up whenever bots are discussed. It is a reading of the incentive and does not tell you what happens on any particular account.

Clause 8.2 bans "robots or any other external player assistance (EPAs) program" that distort normal play, and Annex A item 6 bans tools that automate or aid decisions on bet sizing or strategy, as we set out in our comparison with GGPoker's rulebook. The consequences clause is where rakeback comes in:

  • Clause 15.5: if an account is terminated or suspended "for any given reason," you "shall forfeit your right to any rake back, cash back or any other bonuses" due after that point.
  • Clause 4.7: for an extra active account, the company may retain deposits, winnings or bonuses gained or accrued through it.
  • Clause 14: on a breach the room may "retain all monies" and void winnings.
  • Bonus Policy: the room may revoke bonuses "obtained by misuse of the system," and may change or cancel promotions at any time.

A rakeback balance is the least secure money on an account. It is paid weekly in arrears, so on any Monday there is about a week of accrued rakeback that a suspension would erase under clause 15.5. The Bonus Policy also says that a withdrawal request forfeits "all of your bonuses." It does not say whether weekly rakeback counts as a bonus in that sentence, and the promotions pages do not answer it either. Ask support, in writing, before you request a withdrawal with rakeback pending.

The Table Starter Boost pays for being first at an empty table, a task a script can repeat more tirelessly than a person. We found no passage describing how the room treats unusual table-starting patterns, and we are not claiming it targets any behavior. The operator reserves wide discretion over what counts as misuse.

Reading the Offers as a Human Player

If you play PLO, the 30% is the simplest offer here. It covers every stake and pays on Monday. If you play NLHE below the High tab, none of the three rakeback-style offers applies to your play beyond the welcome offer's poker half.

The Bonus Policy says promotional percentages can change. The Terms page has no revision date to compare against. Take a screenshot of the promotion page on the day you sign up, with the date visible, and keep a record of rake paid against rakeback received. If the two ever disagree, you have something to send to support. The Gold page covers a separate sweepstakes product from a different operator, and its rewards follow different rules.

Tools that read the table and suggest decisions during a hand are banned by the documents above, whatever the rakeback arithmetic says. Our own line on what we consider study off the table is on the fair-play page, and the offers that promise otherwise are the pattern described in the cheats and hacks trap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does WPT Global have a VIP program?

Not in the form of levels. On 13 October 2026 the promotions pages showed flat offers: 40% for starting a table, 30% on PLO, and the welcome cashback. We found no tiers or points.

When is WPT Global rakeback paid?

The Table Starter Boost is paid weekly on Monday at 2 PM CET, and the PLO rakeback is paid every Monday. The welcome offer pays as rake is earned during its 60 days.

Is the rakeback calculated on rake paid or on rake dealt?

The published documents do not say. They describe rakeback as a share of the rake you generate, and the welcome offer as $1 per $10 "paid in rake and fees." The method of splitting rake among players in a pot is not stated.

What happens to rakeback if the account is closed?

Clause 15.5 says that after termination or suspension for any reason you forfeit the right to rakeback and bonuses due after that point.
